contact form and anonymity

    when I insert the contact form will my email address be anonymous? it looks like it is posted along with the contact form

    Yes. You are logged in to WordPress.com and the cookie is active so you see your own information. That’s normal.

    Note WordPress.com uses cookies to keep track of commenters so if someone makes a comment on your blog, the next time they come to your blog, unless they have cleared their cookies, WordPress.com will recognize them and complete the details for them. No one else will be able to view those details in comment boxes or in contact forms. The next person who comments will see blank fields. Commenters will not see each others details.

    Log out, clear your browser cache and cookies http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050 and visit the blog while not signed in to confirm what I posted.

    Note also the Admin [edit] link is only for your convenience and the convenience of your Editors if you have any only you and your editors can see it and use it while you are logged in.
