Contact Form and Home Page

  I am encountering two problems:

  1. When I attempt to edit the number of pages and their content, I see only one “home page”. However, when I go to view the site, it shows two home pages, one of which is void of content. How do I erase this home page?

  2. Contact form – under the fields titled “name”, “email”, and “website”, my information is displayed. How do I get it to leave these fields blank so that viewers are not confused and able to insert their own information?

  One of the “Home” links is put there by default by the theme to direct readers back to your main page. The other “Home” link is to a specific page on your site. I’ve illustrated the difference here:

  You can see the difference between the two when you hover over them and look at the URL. One will direct you to nwwinesandspirits.com/home; the other will just direct you to nwwinesandspirits.com.

  The easiest way to get rid of the duplicates would be to setup a custom menu as shown here:

  You don’t need to include the actual page titled “Home” in your menu. If you would like that page’s content to be shown on the home page, you would want to set a custom front page following the instructions here:

  This is only happening because you’re logged into WordPress.com. I, for example, see my information. Visitors will either see their information already entered or a blank form depending on whether they’re logged in or not.
