Contact form: Change 'from' to address of individual senders

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi there

I set up a contact form for our site visitors to submit their comments on a draft climate change Bill that is currently open for public comment. However, these comments need to be sent directly from each individual visitor’s email address, and not from our default site address with their email address just in the body text of the email. Is this possible? Or is there an alternative plug-in that can do this?
Here is the link to the page we have put the form on: http://climatereality.co.za/comment-on-the-draft-national-climate-change-bill/

    TIA

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, it looks like you are using WordPress but you are not hosted here at WordPress.com. These forums are for those hosted here at WordPress.com.

I don’t think this is possible as to be able to send from the user’s email address they would have to provide the login information for their email account and that would be a no-no to even ask for that.

For self-hosted WordPress sites such as yours, I would suggest asking for help in the volunteer-based WordPress.org forums.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are separate, so if you do not already have an account at WordPress.org, you will need to register.

The differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
