Contact form displays my details

  I added a contact form to one of my pages, but when I published it, using the Add Contact Form button. However, when I published the form, it displayed my WP user name in the ‘Name’ field, and my personal email address in the ‘Email’ field. How can I edit the form to prevent my personal details being revealed to the world?

  You don’t have to. Only you see those details. For logged-in WP.com users, the contact form knows your username and email, so for you those details appear filled-in. To non-signed-in users the lines appear blank. And YOUR details are only visible to you.

  That’s great – thanks for replying so quickly, raincoaster. I’ve used WP through non-wordpress.com hosting services before, and I hadn’t come across that behaviour with any of the contact form plugins I’ve used.
