Contact form eamils not being sent

I have a contact page on my blog, with a contact form included for readers who wish to send me a message. I have stopped receiving the emails in my inbox, yet they are all archived in the ‘Feedback’ tab on wp-admin.

The code I used for the contact form is as follows:
[contact-form to=' (email visible only to moderators and staff) ' subject='Mama Mgeni Contact - WordPress']
    [contact-field label='Name' type='name' required='1'/]
    [contact-field label='Email' type='email' required='1'/]
    [contact-field label='Website' type='url'/]
    [contact-field label='Comment' type='textarea' required='1'/]
    [/contact-form]

Up until about mid-August, I was receiving emails for all contact forms submitted. However, now I don’t receive any. I only discovered this problem when I looked in the Feedback tab on wp-admin and saw all the emails I haven’t been getting.

Any idea how to fix this?

  • Hi there,

Our logs show that the emails are still being sent and delivered successfully. If you’re not receiving them the problem can be on Gmail’s end.

Gmail sometimes automatically filter messages into the Updates or Social tabs of the inbox without giving you a notification. Please check if your messages are there. Also check the spam folder.

You can also try searching Gmail for “wordpress.com” which should return all emails in the archives from our system.
