Contact-form field values not initially blank

  • Unknown's avatar

I have three blogs hosted at WordPress. They all have contact forms and I can’t prevent these forms from pre-loading the name field with my public display name and the email field with my administrative email address. Scouring the support pages has not provided an answer as to how I can have the fields preloaded with blanks like most well-behaved forms do.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

This is the intended behavior for the contact forms – WordPress.com auto-magically preloads all your user information if (and only if) you are logged into a WordPress.com account.

If you log out of your account and go to one of your pages with the contact forms, you’ll see that they are blank.

Sometimes you might have to clear your browser cache and cookies after logging out as the form sometimes picks up the information from the wordpress cookie even if you are logged out.
