Contact form in new editor
-
Hi, I would like to add a contact form to my site. The “Help” guide on wordpress says to use the classic editor, but apparently there is no way to revert to the classic editor any more. I just want people to be able to email me through the site, without posting my direct email.
I’m using the free version, and I’m brand new to wordpress, so please help in the layest of laymen’s terms. Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are ways to use the classic editor, however, navigation is not as easy as it used to be.
From the old Stats page, https://wordpress.com/my-stats, click the little house button on the far right of the top line with the date and name of your blog. It will take you to the classic dashboard.
From your blog, Go to “My Sites” at the top left of the page, click on “WP Admin”.
From the WP Admin (classic dashboard), hover over Posts on the left sidebar, then choose Add New or All Posts (to edit).
I used the Contact Page for a while but it mostly produced a lot of Spam messages/emails. I do not suggest using it at all.
Instead of the automatic Contact Page, I set up a blog post called “Open Forum” and included the link to that blog post on a page called “Contact”. That way readers are able to contact me and so far I haven’t received as much Spam and if it is Spam it goes directly to the Spam folder for deletion.
