Contact form not working
-
The contact form on my site is not working. I have tried directing it to more than one email address
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
It’s only possible to set one e-mail address in the contact form. Please let us know if you need any further assistance!
-
To clarify, I was directing to a single email each time. The contact form is not working for either address, therefore I know it’s a problem with the form rather than the e-mail. Thanks for the feedback though
-
I’ve updated the contact form for you so it will be send to your ‘freerangepilates.com’ address. You can change the e-mail address in the contact form shortcode at https://freerangepilates.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=20&action=edit&message=1

Thank you. Can you tell me what I was doing wrong as I thought I had followed all the instructions from the video?
Thanks -
There was no e-mail address set in your previous contact form, or the post wasn’t saved correctly. For future reference please use the ‘E-mail notification’ setting to change the form’s e-mail address.

Previous I said that it’s not possible to use multiple e-mail addresses, but it is. Sorry for the confusion. You can use separate recipient emails with a comma to send to multiple recipients.

The contact form is still not working. I have tried removing and re-installing the form but still nothing works.
-
What doesn’t work exactly? sending or form? or don’t you see the form at all?
Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox or Google Chrome?
-
When I try to test the form by leaving my name, e-mail and some text in the comments box I do not receive the comment as an e-mail to the designated account. The test messages have not appeared in the dashboard feedback area either.
I have tried this in via other browsers as well and have not received any of my test messages.
If it is of any help my domain was registered via GoDaddy which is then mapped to my wordpress site as this has caused some issues previously.

I’ve just sent a message through your form on the ‘Contact’ page. Did you receive it? please make sure to also check your spam/junk folders.
Note that this contact form will only send the message to your e-mail address and it won’t be visible in your dashboard.
-
Message not received in either inbox or junk mail folders
Getting very frustrated as I am not able to promote this site yet.
-
Does sending a normal e-mail to your @freerangepilates.com work? if not, please make sure these records are correct: https://freerangepilates.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains&action=dnsedit&domain=freerangepilates.com
Or use these records instead:
MX 0 smtp.secureserver.net.
MX 10 mailstore1.secureserver.net. -
Changing the MX records as advised above disables my info@freerangepilates e-mail, the records need to be set to the following for an direct e-mail to this address to work:
MX 10 MAILSTORE1.EUROPE.SECURESEVER.NET.
MX 0 SMTP.EUROPE.SECURESERVER.NET.So this still does not resolve the fact that I am not able to use the contact form on the site. Is there a support telephone number where I can talk to someone about this as this is getting incredibly frustrating that such a simple piece of functionality on the site will not work.

I’ve just tested your contact form using my e-mail address, and I received the message. Could you try to add (email visible only to moderators and staff) or *@wordpress.com to your mail’s whitelist or filter?
If you’re still not able to receive the e-mail, please contact your e-mail host to check the e-mail hit their servers and were maybe marked as spam.
Thank you.
-
Thank you for your help.
I have added (email visible only to moderators and staff) and *@wordpress.com to my address books and filters. I am still not receiving any test messages.
On checking the feedback section from the dashboard I can see all of my test messages under the Spam section. There is an option to mark them “Not Spam” after which I do receive the test messages in my e-mail inbox. Do I still need to contact my provider in order to see if the messages hit their servers at the time of sending?
-
Could you give it one more try? marking them as ‘not spam’ should notify our spam filter not to mark these again in the future. If it does, please leave the message in the feedback section.
PS: I’ve just closed the other support request.

I received the test message that you sent last night but all the test messages that I send still end up in the spam section in the feedback area and I do not get a direct e-mail to my GoDaddy account.
I have marked some of the messages as Not Spam but subsequent messages are still not getting through this morning.
Will contact GoDaddy this morning to see if there is anything else I can alter in my settings. When I tried setting the contact form up with multiple email addresses, separated by a comma, all of which having WordPress in the address book none of the email accounts were receiving any messages. -
Further to my message above:
I have contacted GoDaddy who have confirmed that my e-mail filters are set correctly to receive e-maild from wordpress via the contact form. The help desk were able to send me an email directly to (email visible only to moderators and staff) and were also able to send me a message via my blog’s comments form.
When I subsequently tried to send myself a message via the comments form (logged out of wordpress when I sent it) again I did not receive it and it has gone into the spam in the feedback section.
It seems to me at the moment if anyone in the USA sends me a comment it gets through the spam filter but if it is sent from a UK account it doesn’t. When I directed the GoDaddy registered domain to my wordpress site I was initially given the US server details. This subsequently caused my e-mail to not work. This issue was resolved by changing the details to the European servers. As it would appear that only comments posted from the USA are getting through this may have some bearing on the matter. -
I see. This is definitely an issue with our spam filter blocking your message. Sorry it took so long to discover. Could you please send a message to our spam filter theme at http://akismet.com/contact/ ? You can point out to https://freerangepilates.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=spam&post_type=feedback so they directly see what the issue is.
