contact form plugin

I want to add a ‘contact form’ plugin to my website, but it says I need to upgrade and the domain will change to wpcomstaging.com. Why does the domain name have to change? I want to keep the URL I have now.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Do you know that WordPress.com comes with a contact form already built in?

    https://wordpress.com/en/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/form-block/

We also support embeds for some third-party forms if you want more functionality, like the option for people to upload a file with their form:

If you definitely want to use a form plugin, you’ll need to upgrade to the Business Plan, and then the free URL for your site will change. The example.wordpress.com address will still take people to your site, but in the browser the address will appear as example.wpcomstaging.com

However, the Business Plan will also allow you to add your own custom domain, so you can register nicholasiovino.com, for example, and then that’s what people will see instead.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.
