Contact Form Problem

    I created a Contact page with a contact form. When I published my page, on the blog it displays my user name in the field “Name” & my email address in the “email address” field as well.
    It’s not supposed to do that.

    Also too, when I search for my blog (google) I can’t find it- it doesn’t show up at all.

    You are only seeing that because you are a logged in WordPress.com user. If I were to view that page, I would see my own name pre-filled. If you view the page when you are not logged in, you would see the fields are blank.

    Regarding Google:

    WordPress.com automatically sends notifications to Google with every post and page update. However, search engines can take 4 to 6 weeks (or more) to add any new sites.

    It will also take a couple of days from the time you created your blog for it to show up in WordPress.com search results. For more information please see this link:

    You can change your blog’s visibility to search engines by visiting Settings > Reading in your Dashboard, and looking under “Site Visibility”.

    Oh!–O.K. :)
    Thankyou so much for taking the time to explain this to me.

    I am new to all of this, I have never blogged before (not much of a technical person either) so I get nervous when I can’t figure things out.

    My first working with WordPress.com too. I have been very happy with the whole wordpress.com experience so far. You guys really did a pretty great job with all the articles & “Get Help” areas for a newbie to figure this out. It is what has gotten me this far! :)
