contact form questions
-
Hi,
I have built a contact form. It works fine, but I am wondering if there are ways to do two things:
1. Change the identity of the sender. Currently it uses the “first name” field. This causes my email client’s spam filter to snare many of the responses. I would like to be able to make the identity of the sender fixed, or to use another field besides “first name.” I tried making a different field the first (top) field in the form. I also tried changing the name of the field from First Name to Name: First. Makes no difference. Is there a way to fix this?2. Download a spreadsheet or CSV file of all the form results at once in addition to getting emails of the responses. Is there a way to do this?
Many thanks,
– bill.

The only customization options we have are expressed here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
1. Change the identity of the sender. Sorry that’s a no can do. Your clients need to whitelist email from .wordpress.com in their email clients.
2. Sorry but I’m not a aware of a way to do that.

P.S. Feedback management
You can read all feedback sent through your contact form in your feedback management area. Just click the “Feedbacks” link in your left-hand menu. -
Yes I know I can read all the feedback in the feedback management area by clicking Feedbacks. I would like to get it all in a spreadsheet or something that can be read into Excel, like a comma delimited ascii file, so that I can use it for email merge and other purposes. Is there a way to do that?
Thanks,
– bill.
