Contact Form – redirect to URL?

    Is there a way/setting to redirect a user to a URL after filling out a contact form?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi @kentwoodhg,

    It’s to my understanding there currently isn’t a way to redirect to a separate page after form submissions with sites hosted on WordPress.com.

    It is however completely possible with the use of plugins for a self-hosted WordPress site (or a WordPress.com site that has a Business Plan, which allows the use of plugins).

    Hi there,

    I can confirm what @pauloeaquino said. You would need a Business Plan site so you can use a contact form plugin that includes this type of functionality. The built in WordPress.com contact form does not allow for this.

    Thanks, guys! I understand the advantages of a .org site, but for purposes of this organization, I want to continue with the .com platform. So, use the “custom plugins” feature in the biz plan? Which plugin do you recommend?

    That is up to you to decide as there are many options one can choose from. Here is a full list of available contact form plugins. Choose the one which you feel is best for your site.

    For plugin recommendations I suggest you ask in the WordPress.org forums – these forums are primarily for WordPress.com users on the free plan so the users who post here are unlikely to have experience with different plugins.

    You can also search a site like wpbeginner.com. They regularly do reviews of plugins for doing particular things.
