Contact form: send copy to submitter

With the nifty new contact form function on WP.com, is there any way to have an email copy of the form be sent to the submittor’s e-mail address?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,
If that’s not stated in the support docs and it isn’t then the answer is “no”.

Setting that aside, my personal response is I sure as heck wouldn’t want that. If it is introduced I will be asking for an opt out for sure. I can copy and paste a copy of my text in any contact form into a file before I click and submit it. The last thing I want in my life is more email telling me I sent an email. However, others may beg to differ. :)

    Thank you @timethief.

For the site I’m working on, the submitted data needs to then be printed out for a handwritten signature, then mailed. Having the form data captured and also confirmed by the submitter is important.

Since it’s an option with other form tools like Wufoo and Gravity Forms (for self-hosted WP), I’ll just link to Wufoo.

Ahhh … now I can see why you wanted it. That makes perfect sens to me now. It’s good to know you have an alternative, but perhaps you still ought to request this functionality here too.
