Is there a widget for the contact form be good to have one if people want to email me or if other people want to have contact forms on there blog as well.
-
There is not widget. There is a contact form http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/05/13/how-do-i-make-a-contact-form/ This post may also be helpful as posting an email address in a form that spam bots can crawl is something you want to avoid doing.

For some reason, when I type [contact-form] in a page and publish it, I don’t get a contact form to show up, just the words “[contact-form]“. Help?
-
I’ve had this happen. Instead of putting it in the visual editor, click on the HTML tab and place it in there. That always works for me. Also, with a contact form, make sure and turn comments off for that particular page or it will be confusing for your visitors. You turn comments off and on in the “discussion” blue bar on the page editor page.

OK, I put the code in on the HTML side and turned off comments, but when I preview, all I see is a big blank box. Not the nice form that is supposed to show up. Anybody know how to fix this?
-
That’s ok. To see what it will look to non wp users, publish the page then log out and visit your blog.
And please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here – or link your nickname to your blog as explained in the Sticky “8 Things to Know“. We often need that in order to give a relevant answer.
