  I have a contact form and everything works fine, however I’m having trouble editing the font color within the box itself. It is very difficult to see at the moment, a dark grey on a forest green background and a drop box I have is white text on a white background.

  Perhaps I’m mistaken, but it appears the font colors for the Contact Form are built into the theme, in which case you can’t edit them without CSS editing capabilities. The thing is, to edit CSS on wordpress.com requires Custom Design, which is a feature of the paid WordPress.com Premium and WordPress.com Business plans.
