I am trying to merge multiple accounts, and upgrade to premium service, but I can’t find a single telephone number to talk to WordPress. Is there any way to actually get personal support? I am trying to upgrade and spend money here, and it’s difficult. This blog is just one of several I have, and that is the problem. They were created by others, and I have access to edit, but I would like to have all of that under one login. I don’t even know if I am already paying them and therefore don’t need to pay again.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It is possible to get personal support, but not on the phone. Here’s a rundown of the support options:
I’ll also tag this thread for staff assistance, since it looks like a volunteer won’t be able to get you all the way to your goals.
One thing you will almost certainly need to do is transfer blogs to the right account. Staff may be able to do some of that for you, but if you don’t want to wait, here’s how you can get started on your own: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-wordpress-com-user-or-account

Hi there,
WordPress.com doesn’t currently offer phone support, but I’d be happy to help you here. :) Can you please reply with a link to the blogs you want to have under a single account? That will help me see what’s already been done so I can help you get things set up the way you want them.

Do they offer chat support like their sales page says? I’m happy to upgrade to a business account, but it seems totally weird that there is no support?

We do have chat support Monday to Friday, between 7am and 7pm Eastern time, if you have the WordPress.com Business plan. But I can also give you support here in the support forums if you’d like. :)

I have the reconfw site above, my company website is evolvingtexas.com, and I want to create a new website that is password protected for my employees. I think a premium plan would be fine…but am nervous about support while we get up and running.
Thank you for your help!

I have the reconfw site above, my company website is evolvingtexas.com, and I want to create a new website that is password protected for my employees.
Your company website at evolvingtexas.com is a self-hosted WordPress site, meaning that it’s hosted with a separate website hosting company (not WordPress.com). Self-hosted sites will always have separate login details from WordPress.com accounts, so there isn’t a way to merge them in that sense.
However, you’re welcome to set up a new website here at WordPress.com linked to your existing account. You can create that new website from your My Sites page or by heading directly to the signup page here:
https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/
For that new website, you can either password protect the individual pages and posts on the site, or you can create a private site. (With a private site, you can invite WordPress.com users to view it but otherwise it won’t be visible to visitors.)
I guess this begs the question…with a business plan, can I have multiple sites on it?
WordPress.com Premium and Business plans are per site, so you’ll need to purchase the plan for each site you’d like those features on.
Just let me know if you have any other questions!

Both the Premium plans and the Business Plan applies to a single blog. Upgrades apply to single blogs and not to username accounts. See here for details of all 3 plans http://store.wordpress.com/bundles/ offered by WordPress.com.

Thank you both. If I create a private site, will I have the ability to remove users? I want to make them all editors of pieces of it because it’s more like an internal wiki…but want to make sure I can remove employees who leave the firm.
thank you again!

one last question – I want to permanently delete the recon site…but the instructions on how to do so do not match anything on my interface. Help here would be appreciated.

Yes, absolutely. You’ll have full control over who has access to that private site. We have a guide for adding and removing users from private sites with more details about how that works.

Sorry about that! Our team made some updates to the process for deleting sites, and it looks like our support page about it hasn’t been updated yet. Is there a particular step you’re getting stuck on?

To delete a WordPress.COM blog you must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/Alternatively, to change blog visibility to private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 . See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

OK…that explains it. Thank you. I just made it private and that fixed it. Have a great day – and thank you both!!!
