Contact Info For Private Blog Access
-
I know this has been discussed, and there is no way of seeing the contact info for those who request access to private blogs, if it is absent from their gravatar. My question is:
I was emailed a link (see below) and told to click on it if I want to grant access.
If I simply click on it does it mean it will automatically give access to the person, without me viewing anything on the page? I am apprehensive to just click, without knowing what action will take place as a result.
Also… it is not a good form to allow people to request access, yet without any information as to their contact details, even if it is only an email.
Thank you.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi –
Their contact information is private, just like yours. If they do not choose to display it in Gravatar that is their choice and as the site owner you have every right to deny access to your private site.
If you open up the link you’ll see that you can deny or grant access to the requesting user.

Thanks, Liz.
That last sentence is what I wanted to know. Just in case I clicked on the link, and it automatically granted access.
Sorted.

No problem at all! It’s safe to click on the link, from there you will approve/deny the access. Best wishes :)
