Contact Info Widget

When i select “show map” the pin on the map is in the wrong place. How do I correct this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. The widget gets the map info directly from Google Maps, so if the address you entered points to the wrong locations on the map this needs to be changed on Google’s side. See the support doc for the widget under the heading Address

Hi, I’m experiencing a similar problem with the Contact info widget. On my blog “ninasnewsite.wordpress.com” the Google Map on the WP page shows the correct address in the wrong city. If I click the address link, Google Maps opens to the correct location. If this truly a Google bug, how do I contact their Support?

If you go to Google Maps, click on the question mark icon in the bottom-right (the new version of GMaps – I’m not sure about the classic version).I’ll also tag this for staff in case this is an issue with the widget itself. Please subscribe to the thread so you’re notified when they respond and be patient while waiting.

Hi – When I look at the source fragment which includes the Google call, I notice there are longitude and latitude inputs which are incorrect – they don’t match the desired location ( Latitude: 30.283600. Longitude: -81.722496). I could be wrong but this appears to be a WordPress issue.

@johnhowze & @stadiumsportsphysio
Can you please provide me the exact URL of where this is happening? I couldn’t find a Contact Info Widget on any of your blogs.
Thank you!

I removed it because I didn’t want my client (Nina Sasser) to see it this afternoon. I’ve put the widget back on the sidebar for ninasnewsite.
I discovered as I did this, that the presence or absence of the suite information (“#205) makes a difference. The presence of the suite info is associated with the problem.
I’ll tweak johnhowze to see if I can reproduce it in that site, including with another address.

It reproduces with the #205 in johnhowze.wordpress.com. Hamilton Street in the Northeast…
