Yesterday I setup a free version of wordpress. https://clearlakearearepublicans.wordpress.com
How do I take that new page and add addins? I have not actually gone live with the site but have it about 98% complete.
I would like to add forms and various other addins. However it looks like you have to have a .org site. I am prepared to import the current site and my other website that is live If that is necessary.

Howdy Mike!
How do I take that new page and add addins?
Just to clarify, you’re referring to plugins, is that correct?
It is not possible to install plugins at WordPress.com (only on self-hosted sites as you mentioned). Could you let me know what specific functionality you’re looking for in a plugin? Happy to help you find a way to get this done at WordPress.com without a plugin!

Yes I meant plugin. My other website (Squarespace) currently allows me to install forms on pages. These forms are then backed up on MailChimp.com, Paypal and my Goggle docs.
I was hoping to accomplish the same thing.
I went ahead and made it live to verify that the translation would work, i still need to adjust it out of safe mode.
Once it proves itself. I will be attaching my Go Daddy Domain to the site and turning the Squarespace site off.
Thanks for your help!

It is possible to embed some of the elements you mention on your site. For example, you can embed PayPal buttons following the steps here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
You can embed Google Docs as specified here:
Those don’t require a plugin! For MailChimp, you won’t be able to embed a signup form. However, you can still link to it on your sidebar. There’s a great tutorial for that here:

If you’re just looking for a contact form though, we support those by default:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
I hope that helps! If you need any help with these elements or anything else while setting up your site, definitely let me know!
