Contact owner of WordPress URL?

    The system says the WordPress URL I want is taken. But there’s nothing on the page there. (It currently says: “The authors have deleted this blog. The content is no longer available.”) Is there a way for me to contact whoever owns that URL to ask them if they’re still using it and, if not, are willing to give it up?

    Not unless you can use search engines effectively to find or help you guess his contact details. Usually that’s a waste of time; it’s more efficient just to choose a different name.

    Also, since they’ve deleted the blog, even THEY cannot reactivate it, so it would be a total waste of time.

    If you’re particular about your URL, you might want to get domain mapping and your own URL. For example, if nobizlikeshowbiz.wordpress.com is taken, you might check to see if you can get nobizlikeshow.biz and map it.
