Contact page doesn't seem to work…

Hello,
I started a blog (my first time) last month, and I’m happy with how it’s going so far.
The template I selected had a ‘contact’ page. I edited the text so it’s specific to my page. I tried to send a test message through that contact page and I didn’t receive anything – then I asked my wife to send a test message – she did, but that message didn’t come through either.
If you could take a look at my page / and offer and advice, I’d really appreciate it.

Hi there,
Messages through a contact form are sent to your primary email address. You can check which email address you did set in Account Settings: https://wordpress.com/me/account. Please make sure that you set a proper address.

Hello,
Thanks! I checked that page – and the email address is correct.
I then logged out of wordpress and went to my site, I left a ‘test’ comment on one of the pages, but the comment hasn’t appeared and I’ve not received any email notifications re approving a comment etc.
Is there something else I can try?

Sorry – just to clarify… I went through that process on the ‘comment’ section at the bottom of one of my post, but also on the main ‘contact’ page.
It didn’t work in either case.

I appreciate your explanation. I just left a test comment on the comment box at the bottom of your post, and also submitted a test message from the contact page of your site.
Did they reach you?

Yes – the comment on the bottom of the latest post worked! I logged out and it was there. I tried to reply to the comment (I just said ‘received’) but that hasn’t shown up on the page.
Unfortunately I didn’t receive the test message via the contact page.

Your contact form is working fine. Both the submissions from your wife and from @hacchism came through (you can see them at https://dynamicstasisblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=feedback) and we sent you emails for both of them. If you didn’t receive those emails, they were either spammed or otherwise filtered on Hotmail’s end.
The way your form is currently set up it’s sending the emails without a subject line, which would cause most email providers to mark them as spam. To fix that, edit the form on your site, click the Email Notifications option, and set a subject line for your form.

Your test comment was marked as spam by our automatic spam filters, because it only contained the phrase “test comment”. If you want to test out the form you need to submit something that doesn’t look like spam. You can see your test submission by clicking the Spam tab at the link I gave first.
Comments also appear to be working fine, but once again your test comments are being marked as spam. Mark them as Not Spam from this page, and they’ll appear on your site.

Thanks for your help – I really appreciate it. I’ll follow your advice to try to add the subject line on the contact form.
I’m just getting started so this is all a bit new to me – really good fun though.
