Contact Page: My name and email automatically appear on blank required fields

I created a CONTACT page. However, instead of required NAME and EMAIL appearing blank for visitors to my site to fill out…my first and last name automatically default and appear in NAME; and my email address automatically default and appear on EMAIL. I am unable to delete my name and email from what should be blank requirements for visitors or potential customers to fill out. Please help me clear out my info, so NAME and EMAIL will appear blank on the CONTACTS Page.

    Hi Janette,

There is actually nothing wrong with your contact form. What’s happening here is that Safari (your web browser) has saved your contact details in it’s memory. Whenever you vist a page that has a “name” or “email” field. It will pre-populate the form with this information. My browser has stored this information for me as well. When I visit your contact page my details are filed in, not yours. There is no need to worry, other visitors wil either see their own contact information or blank fields depending on the settings of their browsers.

    Hi, Michael.
I had my husband test my Accuratebodylanguage.com page out…However, when he views my blog, the CONTACT tab does not even appear on top for the viewer to select as a final page! So it seems like CONTACT page does not exist as a page option to click and view. I wanted to make sure that when he views the CONTACT page, the NAME and EMAIL required fields are indeed blank.

What can I do to correct this problem? Also, near the bottom of my ACCURATE BODY LANGUAGE CONSULTING SERVICES page, how do I put an ACTION button or link after the text “CONTACT Janette Ghedotte…”?

Thank you for helping me correct these issues.

    Hi Janette,

I had my husband test my Accuratebodylanguage.com page out…However, when he views my blog, the CONTACT tab does not even appear on top for the viewer to select as a final page!

The Contact tab isn’t appearing because it doesn’t fit in the menu at the top of the page. The theme on your site only supports one row of tabs in the menu. Right now the size of the tabs and the length of the page titles means that they don’t all fit in one row.

One way to fix this is to shorten the page titles in the menu. You can do this under Appearance > Menus in your dashboard. You can click on each menu item to edit the title as it appears in the menu.

Another way to fix this is to change the font size for your menu items. If you make the font smaller, all of the menu items can fit in one row. The menu’s font size is controlled by the Body Text size in your Custom Fonts settings. You can also use Custom CSS to change the font size in the menu.

Also, near the bottom of my ACCURATE BODY LANGUAGE CONSULTING SERVICES page, how do I put an ACTION button or link after the text “CONTACT Janette Ghedotte…”?

You can find instructions for creating text and image links on these support pages:
