How would I contact someone who is using a handle I would like? They are not using it. They signed up almost 6-months ago and have never blogged. Thanks. Rich

We register here by means of email addresses and wordpress.COM does NOT violate our privacy by releasing those email addresses. If they did I would be out of here in a thrice.
If you knoew the email address contact the user. If you don’t you are “hooped”. Also note that blog names are NOT recycled at wordpress.COM

You can try leaving a comment on the blog asking if they would be willing to transfer it over to you.

If what you want is the nickname, you can change that yourself on your Profile page. If what you want is the domain name, you can always purchase the Domain Mapping upgrade and get Whatever.com instead of whatever.wordpress.com and that doesn’t require contacting the owner of whatever. wordpress.com
