I have been notified via email that my wordpress account is going to automatically upgrade which I do not want to do. Can you cancel this upgrade and set it up so that it will not automatically upgrade my account.
Thank you,
Ryan -
See here:
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/Dashboard > Store > Billing History
http://en.support.wordpress.com/Billing-History/WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/upgrades/#refunds
Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there and remove your credit card infromation.

This is infuriating. I have followed all of these steps and cannot disable automatic renewal. Nor can I find anyone to contact directly. What kind of business is this????

You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard and cancel any upgrades and disable auto-renew.
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
Your last resort for obtaining access is to complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery with as much information as possible and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.

@greenfieldathletics – I do not see any upgrades on your account, trial or otherwise. Do you have another account?
@zoegreenbaum – None of your upgrades are set to auto renew. You can check this through your My Upgrades page:

How can I talk to a real person and not try to decipher all the rhetoric in these blogs. All I want to do is experiment with building a web page to see if WordPress is the application I want to use in the future, But I keep getting pointe to building a Blog, I do not want a blog I want a web page. Please some talk to me.

Hi there,You made me LOL :D. There isn’t a single fake human, robot or zombie answering questions here. And there isn’t a single new endeavour you can understake that doesn’t require learning jargon that goes with the territory. :)
All support docs are at http://support.wordpress.com
Search for website http://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=create+website

Every day we get new people who do not understand that a blog is a website posting here. This is all semantics and blog structure.
A blog is a post based website designed for interactive communication. As the posts are frequently updated and appear on the front page of the site it’s very attractive to search engines.
What most people call a website is merely a page based site that functions as a one way noticeboard. As the structure is page based and as pages are for static content that rarely changes, and as pages do not have RSS feeds it is not as attractive to search engines as a post based blog structured site is.
Any WordPress blog can be restructured from being post based to being page based – no upgrade required. For greater clarity read > http://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/
Below are some helpful links for getting started:
re: front page error message
Nothing Found
It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.Your site has not disappeared and there is nothing wrong with it. By default the front page of the blog is the only page that will display all published posts on it. As soon as you publish a post not a page the error message that appears on every new WordPress.COM blog will be gone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
For creating a post see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/#publish-a-new-post
For creating a page see here

And as I mentioned above the support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also linked to on the bottom of your Admin page.
