'contact' tab – my details are there when it should be empty

    i’ve just made a wordpress site, and notice that on the ‘contact’ tab for people to get in touch with me, in the boxes where they would normally write their name and details, it has my site name and details, and i don’t seem to be able to get rid of it

    That freaked me out when I first started on wordrpess. Don’t worry. This happens for anyone who is logged into wordpress. You’ll see your own details in a contact form just like I see my name and page details in the form on your blog. If you’re worried you can double check when you’re not logged into wordpress and see what happens when you visit your site.
    I think it’s wordpress’s way of trying to make it easier so you don’t have to fill in all the details of a contact form. But don’t worry, only the person logged in can see their own details :)
