Contacted about continuing a plan/loosing domain

    afternoon. I was contacted about paying for the yearly plan and keeping my domain. When we set up the site we choose a free domain with you and now it’s saying we have to pay to keep it. We never used the ‘paid domain name’ for anything. The plan that was paid for is not being utilzed, we don’t need it. Out of fear my friend Bruce paid so he didn’t loose his domain. Can you please clarify if we will be able to use https://brucesministryandbooks.wordpress.com/ in the future, even if we don’t ‘renew’ next year?

    There’s two different “free domains” here at WordPress.com:

    1. The free *.wordpress.com domain, which is free forever.
    2. A custom domain that is free for the first year with the purchase of a yearly paid plan. Custom domains are only free for the first year; subsequent renewals would fall under current domain registration pricing.

    The site brucesministryandbooks.wordpress.com would be considered a “free forever” domain.

    However, I don’t show any upgrades made under that website, so I don’t see where any payments were made.

    Can you give us more information into what was purchased and under what account the purchase was made? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.
