Sorry guys, i know you all do a wonderful job in community, but I’ve lost access to an important blog to me and i think the reset is going to an old email address I don’t use any more, so can’t rescue it. but, I can’t find where to contact wordpress staff support. any advice?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Depends, you get usually from us fake people in the forum

Log all the way out of WordPress.COM – go to the lost but important blog – start at the Lost Password thing – after a couple of clicks in you should have an option called “need more help” – click on that and you should then be ask a series of questions on a form – fill out as much as you can – you will need to meet a fairly high standard since the email is normally the master key and you are asking for a new master key

after the form – click on submit and that should send it to the blog recovery people – or as you call them “ACTUAL’ people

the “ACTUAL” people are in a company wide meeting plotting how to take over the world or something like that so they might have a bit of a backlog

There is only ONE account recovery process you can use. This is it https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

thanks for the direct link @TT

but If you click through the instructions I hacked above they should end up at the same place – I remember gong through it once some time back to double check some instructions from one of the staff – the key is to be logged out of WordPress.COM or you will never see the need more help I reference above
