Contacting Support

I’ll faq this at some point.

Please do not send forum links. Send a complete description of YOUR problem. Saying to “Look in the forum because I don’t want to explain it twice” does not help me to help you. Do explain it twice.

Please do not use an old reply from Support to send in a new issue. I can guarantee this is much slower than a new ticket. I give priority to new tickets. This happens a lot at weekends too now – it doesn’t get Support. Please use the form.

Please do not USE CAPITALS, use abuse or say ‘What gives’ or similar. Just ask the question, describe the problem.

And I keep saying this but you cannot send too much information. I am not a mind-reader. The worse the description the longer it takes to fix.

And if it’s not wordpress.com, there is no help. Google have their own help ………

Your blog is only set to show one page. The good news is that you do not need staff help. You can change this yourself.
Go to => Options=> Reading and scroll down to:
    Blog Pages
Show at most: ____posts (fill in the number of pots you want to display on your front page) and click “Update Options”.

P.S. As you are using large images it would be sensible to not have a large number of posts on the front page as the more you have the longer the page takes to load.

Just for reference, please don’t us the ‘www’ bit in your URL. The ‘purplefilm’ bit takes the place of it. They do not coexist and the link breaks for many people and search engine spiders.

Also sending in specifics would probably help as well. Says “my customer header doesn’t show” gives no details when one doesn’t know what youre custome header is suppose to be for example.

    I’m bumping this.

I’m going through a patch of wrong or no username, wrong or no email, wrong or no blog.

NEVER just point me at a forum thread. All I will do is ask you again – I’m not looking at them because they are not clear.

And please – tell me every detail in detail. It is not possible to tell me too much, really.
In the past week I had 1 good report – and he got complete and fast support. It is impossible to tell me too much.

It’s really simple – if you want good help and fast help, tell me everything all at once.

The /wp-admin/ part for one of my blogs is not found – dashboard does not work.

This problem happened a few hours ago.

    Please help!

    Thank you!!

As you cannot access your dashboard but you can post to the forum here is the link for reporting your details to staff http://wordpress.com/contact-support/
Make sure you send them the following info:
    – your browser
    – your browser version
    – your FULL blog address (not the name, the real address that begins http:// )
    – your FULL username
    – your REAL email address that is registered here
    – and a very good description of the exact problem.

Do not post personal information like your email address to the forum. And, most of all, be patient as staff will get to your blog as soon as they can.
