Contacting WordPress
-
Hey guys, I was wondering if you are able to call wordpress for help, or if there is just live chat. WordPress seems pretty reputable, but with weebly, i can call their sales team right now and ask them questions. I don’t like the fact that I cant ask some simple questions to wordpress about how their site works, if i can add my own code, and other questions. Please let me know how to get in contact with the sales team!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are many support options available, including this forum. For more information about support options, see this article: https://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/
-
For starters you can’t use your own code or modify the code here, nor can you use script files or iframes
-
I don’t understand why they don’t have phone support, weebly treats me way better as a customer than this site does, which is terrible, because this site gives more flexibility, I wish they had better customer service. If weebly can afford phone support, wordpress should as well.

thank you auxclass. I heard there are plugins though that let you add third party code to your website, is this true. My goal is to be able to create a simple site, but be able to customize one or two pages, I don’t want to have to literally code every page by hand just for one or two pages, that’s why i’m trying out these types of sites.

WordPress.com does not allow plugins. You will have to use a self-hosted WordPress.org site for plugins. You can pay to modify CSS here.

does anyone offer the best of both worlds lol, it looks like I either build completely from scratch, or i use a drag and drop and have very limited capabilities

Plugin’s are not allowed on WordPress.COM sites, they are allowed on WordPress.ORG installs if you have your own host (not WordPress.COM) – but there are a lot of Widgets here that started as a Plugin, so a lot of features built in.
This is a nice turnkey way to set up a site, yes there are some restrictions here, many are in place to make your site more reliable.

I did notice that you started complaining about the support here at the 7 minute point, a bit quick in my book seems to me – give things a chance – also the support forum probably already has your question answered with thousands of questions answered already

auxclass,
no this is actually awesome, i do appreciate the fast responses, my complaint was strictly just about not being able to call a sales representative before i get completely involved with the site. I like to call ahead, ask questions to compare. this is a little bit more lengthy, and i apologize if i sounded bitter, you guys are being very helpful

I’m glad we’ve been able to help you out so well. In addition to what @auxclass said about http://en.support.wordpress.com/ for getting started, I will just add that there are https://store.wordpress.com/plans/ that you can purchase to further customize your site.

Most of the support in the forum is by unpaid volunteers, your fellow bloggers.
so sometimes the response is quick and sometimes it is slower, depending on who is looking at the forum and what their experience is –
The staff do keep an eye on the forum and help with question the volunteers can’t answer or things like billing questions if you have an upgrade
