Contempt Theme available for my hosted site?

Add topic to favorites
I just transferred my wordpress.com blog over to a hosted site and didn’t know I’d lose the Contempt theme. Is Contempt available for use on my hosted site? I can’t find a download anywhere.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi. I did a quick search on WordPress.org and Contempt is not there, but Kubrick is.

You can find contempt at this site, http://www.raven.za.net/wp-themes/contempt-wordpress-theme , but many of the advanced features are not included in the .ORG version such as custom menus. It has not been updated in quite some time.

You can also download the wordpress.com version at https://wpcom-themes.svn.automattic.com/ but do be aware that there are modifications done to the .COM version and in my experience you might have to do some “hacking” to get it to work properly on a .ORG site.

It’s on our todo list to submit Contempt to the WordPress.org Extend themes directory. We’ve lots of them to work through, but they’ll be all there soon hopefully.

When is

soon

? I just finished converting our church website to Contempt (all 29 pages worth plus setting up the menu structure.) When I went to convert it to our new hosting site, Surprise! I don’t know if my 65-year-old heart can take it!! Don’t know if I should start over with a new theme or wait if it’s just another week or two.

It’ll probably be more than a week or two. Probably next spring at the soonest.
