    Hi,

    I’m using the albeo theme, and I can’t change the content background colour, I tried to replace :

    #contents {
    background:url('img/side.gif') repeat-y;

    by the link of a picture or even changing it by :

    contents {
    background:#F8F8F2.

    But it remains white…

    Thank you for your help!

    I’m not seeing a #content selector in the CSS or in the markup. There is a .con selector that is supposedly the parent element of the content and sidebar.

    Are you talking about changing the background color for the post itself or did you want to change the color for the area behind the posts and sidebar?

    Wank :I just made a mistake when I wrote the code here, I tried with ;

    Thesacredpath : I would like the color of the area behind the posts to be the same color than the sidebar (greyish instead of white)

    OK, the post itself is in .sl so this should get you there. Note that the two will not look exactly alike (sidebar and post area) since the post area element is constructed a little differently than the sidebar elements.

    .sl {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #F8F8F2;
    }

    One thing to keep in mind with CSS is that it is for the most part theme specific, and what it takes to do something on one theme is different from another. Every designer decides how they are going to structure the markup (XHTML) and how they are going to label and do the CSS. That means you have to look at the markup and the CSS for the theme you are actually working with.
