content disappeared

Hello wordpress-team,
first of all: it’s a great idea, wordpress. I enjoy it really very much.Today I tested some new themes and came back to ‘confit’-theme, which I like most because of the background picture. Unfortunately, all my widgets have disappeared. It contained some pictures and some information about my hikes and about myself.
The list on the left sidebar of all the chronological publication of my texts has disappeared as well.
I am kind of in a panic, since I have no backup or so of the website, that I used to have until an hour ago. Is there a possibility of re-directing, resetting, my page to what has been complete until this morning??
I hope my English is good enough so that you can understand my problem.
Thank you very much in advanceKind regards,

Because themes have different widget areas it’s not possible to automatically update your widgets when you switch themes (here’s some more info on which bits you need to manually re-add).
Luckily, if you go to WP Admin > Appearance > Widgets and scroll down the page you’ll see a list of your inactive widgets which you can then drag and drop back into place with all the previous settings still intact.

And if you find it easier to ask for help in your native language then check out the German support forum next time.

Hello halluke,
thank you very much for your prompt help.
I have to try it, yet, unfortunately, the content has been deleted :-(
Thank you as well for the link to the german support forum- It is the first time I have called for help :-) And hopefully the last time ;-) -

That sounds unusual, let’s see if a member of staff can see how the inactive widgets got cleared or track the original widget settings down for you. Sit tight and hopefully they’ll be back to you within a day.

That’s great!
I’ve cancelled the request for a staff member to look. Feel free to mark the issue as resolved.

hallluke, our posts have overlapped … I found the widgets, they are back in their place. Thanks again :-)
