Content lost/automatically reverted to a previous version (portfolio project)

    Hi,

I am using Projects/Portfolio for my articles due to my theme.

When I spend hours writing an article, I click many times on “Save as a draft” and use the preview button.

As I was changing the title of my project, the page suddenly refreshed and it came back to a version from a few hours ago (not the previous saved as a draft, I pressed something like 30 times on save as a draft and preview after the version it “recovered”). And since I am using “project” and not “post”, I don’t have revisions to recover.

I don’t know if I pressed on a shortcut I don’t know about, or if something else happened, but it is not the first time I lose many hours of work because of that.

I really don’t understand how it can come back on the version of a few hours ago despite the fact that I save every 5 minutes (and preview the changes).

The database doesn’t contain my content anymore, so I am almost sure I cannot recover it. But does someone have any idea why/how it happens so I stop losing hours every time to retype everything?

PS: I am also using Q-TranslateX plugin.

Thank you very much for your help

  • Ah, I’m sorry to hear that. We’re actually support for sites hosted here at WordPress.com . If you’re using Jetpack for your Portfolio Projects, you can find support at Jetpack.me . I can’t promise they’d be able to help you find revisions, but I’d check there first. Good luck!
