Content missing from inactive blog
-
When I worked at Washington State University, we had a blog WSUCTLT.wordpress.com. I was one of the chief authors. The account was linked to my corporate email (email visible only to moderators and staff) I have since left the university and the email account is disabled.
The blog has been inactive (from standpoint of new posts) since 2008. I recently tried to refer to posts on the blog, only to find the banner and sidebar, but no content. I can’t recall my password and have no way to recover it.
Does WP make posts go inactive/ archived or somehow appear missing if a blog is inactive? How do I go about re-establishing my credentials as a contributor, there was some important material on there that I would extract if the blog itself can’t be live again
Thanks,

No – the only ones that can remove content are members of the blog. WordPress.COM will not remove content if a blog is inactive
The blog appears to have been cleared, that would have required Editor or Admin rights to remove all the content

Thanks. This is what I feared, so far I’ve not found which of my colleagues might have wiped all our work

OK, I got my admin access again (linked to my current email address). There are zero posts and zero items in the trash
Is there any hope that WP can restore the blog? I’m guessing not, that they don’t have archives that go back multiple years
