Content not showing up in facebook link posts
-
Hi,
I’m using the ‘read more’ tag on some of my pages to ensure that only the featured image for these pages shows up on my home page. I’ve just tried posting a link to one of the pages in a facebook group, but instead of the first few lines of content showing up on facebook, it just says ‘visit the post for more’.
I’ve posted links before and never had this happen in the past, so can’t work out why it’s started now. Any suggestions?
The website is http://www.borderlandsoutdoor.com
Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks,
That’s interesting for future reference but isn’t quite the issue I’m dealing with at the moment. The featured image from my page is showing up in facebook, but instead of the first few lines of written content appearing with it, it’s only showing the words ‘visit the post for more’. I thought this could be caused by a ‘read more’ tag in the page, but this has always been there and never caused any problems before so I’m still confused about why this has happened now. -
Facebook sometimes changes the way it pulls in text from sites. When sharing a link manually, you can hover over the text blurb until it’s highlighted in yellow, like this:
While it’s yellow, click on the text and you’ll be able to customize the text exactly as you’d like.
