Content on Home Page is literally shaking
-
I’m using the Forever Theme with custom fonts. On my home page, the posts listed below the most recent one are all shaking, as if someone is rapidly scrolling up and down. I see this happening on Chrome, IE, and iPad. Any idea what could be causing this?

Hi there,
That was very strange indeed! It took a bit to figure it out, but the issue with that post was that your theme will continually try to load a featured image if there isn’t one set, so the bouncing was that post reloading constantly, looking for a featured image. Once I inserted one (I removed it again, because I wasn’t sure what you would want), the bouncing ceased, even when that post was viewed on its own.
You’ll notice I also recreated that post, just to make sure that nothing weird had happened to your original post. I left my post as it was, but you can delete mine and republish yours or whatever you’d prefer. They’re identical! :)
Let me know if you have any questions at all.

Hi, thanks very much for figuring this out! I’ve gone ahead and added an image to my original post and deleted your duplicate.
So I guess this means then that every post must have a featured image? Or is it because I’m utilizing the option of displaying the four posts with featured images across the top that the theme is expecting one? I wasn’t planning to use featured images on the “status” type posts because I didn’t really want them displayed at the top, but it looks like I’ll have to.

Never mind that last comment. I just figured out that when I added the image and reposted, the post type was changed. I’ve reset it to “status” and now the post is no longer at the top and the shaking is gone.
Thank you for your quick response. WordPress rocks!

Hi there!
I’m so glad that it worked out OK and that you saw that it went over to being a Post rather than a Status. Nice catch!
Like I said, let me know if you have any other questions or if you need anything else!
