Content Protection

Is there a way to disable right clicking to protect the content on my blog?

If you do a search of the forum for right click protection, you’ll find the question was asked just yesterday, and the answer is, no, not at WP.com, and it doesn’t work anyway. I’m not a techie but even I can get around it with ease if I wanted to.

There is not a way on wp.com.
I see that you are asking several questions here, and so I’ll mention that if you link your name to your blog, you’ll get answers more quickly because volunteers will be able to check that you are in the correct forum:

My blog is http://www.backtorootz.com – there aren’t any blogs yet. In the past I found links to code that you can add in a header to disable right clicking- but I haven’t been able to find them again. I thought I saved them somewhere on my hardrive. I am going to do some more investigation on this.

I think Adobe Acrobat has a copy protection feature. You could write all your posts in that, store them somewhere, and then link to them from your blog. Not much of a blog, but your stuff would be protected. At least I think so.

@sensuous, I’ve heard that there are some non-adobe readers out there that ignore the security settings in Acrobat files, so not even that is entirely safe.

Goes to show you — the only way to protect your material is to keep it off the internet.
