content removal
-
Hi, I’m going through search results and came across this page https://princekyu.wordpress.com/2010/08/21/100821-smtown-concert-merchandise/
It contains a post I made years ago and I apparently used my real name. I do not want this appearing in search results when my name is searched. I understand you can’t delete another user’s content, and I have no way of contacting this particular user. But can you please delete just my name from the page? Or the comment alltogether. I don’t want to post my name here on the forum for obvious reasons, so please contact me directly for it. Thank youThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot edit or delete comments you submitted to another blogger’s blog. Read: Can I edit/delete comments I left on someone else’s blog?

All you can do is use comments if they are open or any contact information provided by the site’s owner to request that they edit or delete them for you.

I did not ask for any contact information. I just want my *name* removed, even if the whole comment cannot be deleted.

Staff are not able to enter anyone’s site and delete anything from it without the express written permission to do so from the site’s owner.

Hey there,
@Timethief is right. We will not be able to delete the content without the owner’s consent. Have you tried getting in contact with the owner to see if they are willing to delete your name? I would post in the comment section of that post and see if they respond to your request.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!

I’ve tried contacting them on the Twitter they linked, but it doesn’t seem like they’re even active anymore. My comment was from 2010 and their last post seems to be from 2014. Pretty sure I’m out of options in this case.

I’d post in the comments just in case. If their active e-mail is still connected with their account, they’ll receive the message. You never know!
