Content rip-off
-
I got two spam comments today, and when I went back to the user’s wordpress blog, the person had quoted me word-for-word, repeated the entire post, and then asserted that somebody ELSE (not my domain name) had written it.
The link they put did link back to my site, but after you repeat the post in its entirety, who will come to “read the rest of ‘this great post’?” I would like to know how to report users like this and prevent this from happening again. Thanks.

If the blog that did the copying is at WordPress.com, please see here:

If not, you’ll need to track down the owner of the site and send them a DMCA notice.

This crops up time and again. At least they’re linking back to your blog – a lot of them don’t even do that.
For a how-to:

You cannot disable “right clicking” on wordpress.com blogs, but if you want to talk about this more, please start a new thread as this is a topic about content theft.
