content sliders

  I would like to revamp my blog to include a content slider. I am unable to do so hosting on WordPress using a free template. If I purchase a template through WordPress, will I be able to access/integrate the content slider in my blog(still hosting on WordPress.com)?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The only means of getting a post slider on any WordPress.COM hosted blog is to select to use a theme that has one deigned into it. You cannot add one to any theme that does not have one so be clear on that.

  Also know that what I post below still applies to any blog hosted by WordPress.COM.

  You cannot upload any third party themes into a WordPress.COM hosted blog so be clear on that. The only themes we can use on WordPress.com blogs are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software are the free and premium themes that are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/

  There is no FTP access to WordPress.COM blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins or third party themes.

  There is no other upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.

  I know I can’t integrate third party themes and plugins, however I tried integrating a post/content slider using the Nuntius,Triton Lite and superhero themes to name a few, all WordPress.com themes. The preview included a post/content slider, however I’m still not getting an option to do so when I activate these themes. I followed the link in your post and found a few others that allowed to integrate the slider so I’ll work with those.

  I have done the same and can’t find how to use the slider in the forever theme. Any tips on where to find it in the dashboard?

  Where is the URL of the blog wearing Forever? When we post here we provide URLs.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  I’m sorry but we cannot provide accurate answers to any blogger who fails to provide the exact URL starting with http:// for the exact blog they refer to so we can verify where it is hosted. Please do that now.
