Content suddenly unavailable for our online comic…

Thanks for sending those links, Vincent. I started on the page at http://helsigcomix.wordpress.com/comic/epilogue-part-1-week-24-page-1-of-6/ and clicked the Next button, and I was able to continue all the way through to the third test page.
Here’s a screenshot of the Next button on the first test page, to take me to the second one: https://cloudup.com/cFQnRPGVMIv
It may take a little time after publishing the most recent page for the previous page to add the Next button. Can you please try refreshing those pages to see if the Next button appears there for you now?

Thanks Rachelmcr, You. Are. Awesome. Seriously. If you are ever in Chicago, beverage of your choice, my treat. I will say that it’s weird that we are having such a delay on the “Next” button showing up. We never had this issue before. Our more loyal fans were responding to us via Facebook chat moments after we finished posting Sept. 7th that they couldn’t go/forward onto the next page, which of course led to us trying to figure this out. In the process a secondary issue cropped up where all the pages started showing the default “page not found”. It seemed as if sixty pages had disappeared. Are there any issues with the theme we are using? Is there another theme that may be better suited to serving sequential art… er, comics. Open to your guidance on this one.
Thanks again,
–Vincent

Just adding my confirmation that I see the Next button here: http://helsigcomix.wordpress.com/comic/epilogue-part-1-week-24-page-1-of-6/
Clicking it brings me here: http://helsigcomix.wordpress.com/comic/epilogue-part-2-week-25-page-1-of-4/
From that page onwards, the Next button does not disappear.

okay, moved all the content to
http://helsigcomix.wordpress.com/comic/epilogue-part-2-week-25-page-1-of-4/I’ve left the next three pages up that are not showing a “Next” button including the url above.
Pages not displaying a “Next” button as of 1:22 A.M. CST
http://helsigcomix.wordpress.com/comic/epilogue-part-2-week-25-page-1-of-4/
http://helsigcomix.wordpress.com/comic/epilogue-part-2-week-24-page-2-of-4/
http://helsigcomix.wordpress.com/comic/epilogue-part-2-week-24-page-3-of-4/
http://helsigcomix.wordpress.com/comic/epilogue-part-2-week-24-page-4-of-4/
If by tomorrow morning the “Next” button appears, you still need to look into why this theme, or your servers are not correctly working.
Waiting over an hour is well… a bit silly.

The “Next buttons finally appeared. You now can go from page to page. So sometime between my last post and when I got up this morning they showed up. Could you please look into what is causing this delay.
thanks, Vincent.

Hi Vincent,
We investigated this a bit more, and I wanted to check with you: Do you view each page immediately after publishing it (before publishing the next page)? Or do you wait until all of the pages are published before viewing them on the site?
-
We preview from with in the “Edit Comic”, then publish the page. We view the comic after we have entirely published all the pages. I waited till I had everything published before I started checking to see if the “Next” button had showed.
-
Thanks for confirming that. I’ll add those details to my report for our team to investigate this issue.

Hi,
I’m having a similar problem. I notice that from time to time in the last few months, only the most recent page of my comic shows up.
http://gothicgeishacomic.wordpress.com/
When I hit the previous and first buttons, only the current page is shown. Sometimes, I hit the first button and I get an oops, page is not found. I reported this same problem months ago, but when the engineer looked at it, it was mysteriously working. If you go into “Pages” under categories, you can see I do have pages in my archive.
Thanks.
