  • Hello

Please take a look at the WordPress.com Copyright Infringement page at:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/copyright-infringement-what-to-do/

If, after reading that, you believe the blog in question is in violation, use the link in the second to last paragraph to file a DMCA report.

    Hope this helps!

Iv had a look at this and read through the real issue is she has used pictures of me in them without permission. They were taken for an educational project which were meant to hardcopy only digital copies online were never agreed . I need some support to have these taken down

  • If you’ve already requested that the site owner remove the content and have not been successful, you can fill out the form at https://automattic.com/dmca-notice/

That’s the only way that WordPress.com/Automattic can attempt to help.

Before filling out the form I need to be sure if I am eligible to fill it out. The pictures that were taken were of me for a uni project by her on her camera. So the work in the images are not hers , I am in the images the difference is she just took the pictures for me. These pictures were only meant for hard copy in portfolio at university . She then went and uploaded them on the internet without my permission , these pictures of me and isn’t listening to a word I’m having to say about taking them down. 1- no permission was given to go anywhere online . 2- Iv asked her several times to take them down as i feel very uncomfortable about this , this is causing me a lot of personal issues and I really need some help please . I really don’t know what to do

  • Hi

The only options you have to get WordPress.com to help you with the image removal is to fill out the DMCA form, or to report the site (as noted in the link below). We can’t do anything else in the forums, but someone will read every DMCA or report form that’s fill out and will let you know if they can help.

    Here’s the report a site form: https://en.support.wordpress.com/report-blogs/

  • Hi there,

The pictures that were taken were of me for a uni project by her on her camera.

So the pictures are of you, not taken by you? In that case I don’t think copyright law applies, as it’s images of you used without your consent instead of your intellectual property being used. This will most likely be a legal issue, based on whether or not you signed a release giving them permission to use the images of you.

Needless to say, this is not something on which we can advise you, but you’ll need to speak to a lawyer instead.

If the site is on WordPress.com you can try reporting the site to our terms of service team, but I don’t know if there is anything they can do in this case.

    Report a Site

As this thread is basically a terms of service issue at this point I’m going to close it. Please report the site via the instructions above, and if your terms of service team cannot help you you will most likely need to seek legal help.

  • Just another thought – as the images were part of a university project you could consider reporting the matter directly to the university. They might be able to force the owner of the images to take them offline if it falls outside the scope of the assignment.

    It’s worth a shot :)
