contents in menu/main page
-
Hello. As mine is a food blog, I want to keep different categories in my main page such as breakfast, dessert , main course and so on.. How to customise them!!!

Hi @devacoocks,
I assume you’d like to have a navigation bar/menu showing all your categories, is that correct?
If it is so, what you have to do is creating a custom menu and fill it with the category pages links.
The following page linked explains step by step how to build a custom menu and put anything you want inside (categories included): https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/.Give it read and try it out. If you get stuck at any step, just let me know and I’ll be glad to help.

Hello.. I tried making navigation bar. But I am not able to get links when iIclick on that!! as in, when I click on breakfast, first page appears. How to get recipes under that !!!

Hi @devacooks,
I just noticed that all your posts aren’t categorised, as they all fall into the Uncategorized recipient.
In order to create archive pages and gather recipes and posts per categories (ie breakfast, lunch, dinner etc) you need to label each post accordingly.
This step-by-step guide explains how to create a post, label it under a category and then place the category page on your Custom Menu.
Instead of creating a new post, you only need to edit the old ones and add them the categories. https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/Let me know how it goes. If you need further assistance, don’t hesitate to leave a comment here :)

did that just now.. is it possible to get in list under that category as
breakfast
a
b
c
so on!!! -
Do you mean to put the categories sorted vertically?
Your theme features only an horizontal menu so you can’t move it vertically. However, you may want to place a pages/categories widget on the sidebar, so to make the categories appear in an horizontal position on the sidebar.
What do you reckon?
