  I believe that it’s the plugin that creates the “contnet slider” in the themes you refer to. I quickly scanned 8 tutorials and every one was plugin related. If that is the case, then we do not have FTP access to wordpress.com blogs and cannot upload plugins into our individual blogs.

  I clicked the link but could not determine what part of it “slides”? How is the “sliding” accomplished? If it’s done by a plugin then it will be a no go at wordpress.com.
