continous background image on selected pages only

    Hello

    I’m using the Theme Independent Publisher 2. I would like selected pages to have a background image that never gets to the end, no matter how much text is typed in the foreground. I thought this was a type of parallax but apparently not. It might be some kind of tiling? I’ve tried some CSS text but only limited success. I’m working on https://its-for-the-birds.org site, but an example of where I’ve done this before is the home page on a site I no longer use: lougrimmdotcom.wordpress.com. Thank you!

    Thank you for writing to us with your question.

    Hopefully I understand your issue correctly. You would like to set a forever repeated background image only on selected pages (so not on the whole site, but selected pages of the site).

    I looked at the example site you attached. There is a difference between that site and the feature you are asking for. The example site has the background set up for the whole site. You can do that through the Customizer. In contrast, you are asking to have a different background on selected pages. As much as I know, you are not able to change a Page background image independently from the Theme background.

    I tried to do some testing. The closest I got to solve this problem is using the Cover Block. Put all your content within the Cover Block. This was you can adjust to full size view and make it a repeated background.

    Others might be able to recommend you with better solutions. I hope that helps nevertheless.

    Wow. You have made my day. Firstly because you understood my problem perfectly (and yes you’re spot on about the difference between my request and the example I pointed you to – sorry about that!).

    Secondly because you taught me something new and simple – I had no idea about cover blocks.

    But most importantly because I think this solves my problem brilliantly. And it’s so easy to do. It even gives me a masking effect which resolves a problem I didn’t even ask about.
