  • Hi there,

I have checked your account history but I don’t see any recent chats. Can you tell us what your chat was about, the approximate date and time it took place, and the URL of the site you were asking for help with?

Happy to see if we can find it that way. We’re also happy to answer any lingering questions in this forum since we have you here now, thanks.

Actually, I think I’ve worked around the problem. Over the years, it looks like I’ve started a number of WordPress logins, using emails I had favored at that time. The only email want for account setup purposes is (email visible only to moderators and staff). Other emails I have used, or may have used are (email visible only to moderators and staff), (email visible only to moderators and staff), (email visible only to moderators and staff) and (email visible only to moderators and staff) which I used today to start a WP Business account. I want the business account to have the login ID (email visible only to moderators and staff) ( was also used at Bluehost to run WP there.
I’ve canceled that account because I no longer need it.) Simply put,I want to change my new Business login ID changed from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff). I then want all the other email addresses plus the (email visible only to moderators and staff) removed from your systems.

  • Hi there,

Only someone who is logged into a particular account can delete that account. So you’ll need to log into each account in turn, then you can close the account from the Account Settings page at https://wordpress.com/me/account. 30 days after you do that, the email address, along with all other data, is permanently removed from the account.

    https://wordpress.com/en/support/close-account/

If needed, you can use the email address to reset the password of an account at https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword – make sure you’re not logged into any other account already when doing that, else it won’t work.

If any of your other accounts own a site that you want to continue using, you can follow these steps to transfer ownership of the site to your danwanner08b7109bdc account you’re using to post here.

    https://wordpress.com/en/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

This process will also transfer any upgrades connected to the site, and you’ll need to complete this process before you’ll be able to close the account itself.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.

If I close my original account, inchristalone.life, will inchristalone.life become the main account with my new paid for Business Plan? It seems to me after reading what you have so carefully considered, would it not be easier to close both accounts and then open a new account with inchristalone.life the primary account and the domain something else i wanted to use? I’d much rather do that so long as I get the Business plan in my new inchristalone.life without having to pay for it again. That would work very well for me. Please let me know as soon as you can, the clock for us to get this going is passing by quickly. Thanks so much for your carefully thought out help.

Maybe it would work better if i tranferred my new account to my old account. Problem may be transferring my Buisiness plan to the old account. Looking forward to your thoughts on that idea.

Best for me is to close both accounts and start over

Please be aware you’re posting to the free WordPres.com support forums, so you need to expect that you won’t get an instantaneous reply.

Also, can you clarify what your end goal is here? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise on how you should proceed.

    Thanks!
