Continuing blog after death

Add topic to favorites
My brother passed away last March while traveling and did not leave any log on information anywhere. Having his travel blog helps my family feel comforted. Is it possible to have the ownership transferred?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

PS – sorry about your loss also – one feature of WordPress.COM blogs is that there is no expiration date, no requirement for the blog to be posted to or used for the blog to be around for your family to remember your brother. The blog should be around for years and years – nobody will cancel your brothers blog nor can anyone take the name away from him

You be welcome – I wanted to reassure the family that the memories were safe

I have helped about half a dozen people in the forum set up memorial blogs, they were terminal and wanted to leave some memories for their families – that blogs here are forever was good – even when I was helping at .ORG I helped a couple of people set up blogs here for the same reason

You have domain mapping – so transferring the blog will enable you to renew the domain name & domain mapping to keep all the old bookmarks working –

The worst that happens is the domain name goes back to the base blog: ifiweregoingdotcom.wordpress.com – content & memories are safe
