contribute to blog without signing up for wordpress

  Hello,
  Is it possible for authors or contributors to post to a blog via email, without creating a WordPress account?
  If so, please let me know how they can do so.

  I don’t think so. When someone receives an invitation to be a contributor, this is what they see:

  To accept this invitation you will need to:

  1. Signup for a WordPress.com account. You can also sign in with your existing WordPress.com account if you already have one.

  2. Accept Invitation

  So it looks like creating an account is required.
