Contributor Access
-
I have had a contributor to my blog since it’s inception but I have forgotten how he can access the blog stats/dashboard. Can someone please explain again?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Because you gave him access. How is this confusing? If you do not want him to have access to the dashboard, even the limited version available to contributors, remove him from the blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

No, not really. I still WANT him to have access… I just have forgotten how that works. He has forgotten as well….

What do you mean “how it works?” Is he having difficulty accessing your blog? What is his WP.com username?

He writes one of the pages for me and I want him to be able to go in and edit the posts once they’re uploaded.

Your blog should appear in their My Blogs page, and your Dashboard should appear on the black WordPress nav bar and they enter to post that way. Well, that’s how it works for me on the blogs I am an Administrator for. It really doesn’t appear any different to me than my own blogs.

If he is a Contributor rather than Author, he can’t edit his own posts. If he is an Editor, then he can even edit your posts.

I understand that raincoaster…just trying to figure out the logistics. Will pass all this along to him. Thanks.
