Contributor Password Question! Help!

  I’m very new to all of this and have a question I feel could be easily answered but I myself can’t find a solution to. So, I have a fairly simple blog. I want people to set up accounts with my blog, post as contributors, then I, as administrator, will publish their post if it’s appropriate. However, the problem I’m having is when people sign up to a contributor, I can’t give them a password. It just kind of shows up that people want to be contributors. Is there any plug in or anything that will send the contributors a password so they can post and I can publish them? I hope that wasn’t too confusing. Thanks!
